Re: Joshua v Ruiz
It sure would explain a lot if Joshua really had been knocked out in sparring a few days before the fight.
A bit scary too if true as you would have thought boxing, of all sports, would have proper concussion protocols.

I'd love to see the rematch held in Mexico, as Ruiz has offered, but I can't see it happening.

The juwes shoehorned themselves into the matter after I pointed out AJ and Andy Ruiz are both defiantly and fiercely Nigerian/Mexican supremacists, and let's not get into who controls boxing that's not what is being discussed right now.

Unless you want it to be...

Ag!

And with a name like Joshua he's missed an open goal.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz
Sounds like he didn't prepare properly and got dropped, happens to the best, remember when Lewis got sparked by Rahman and he blamed it on the altitude and not acclimatising? The test isn't getting beat, it's how you come back, massive question mark hanging over Joshua until the rematch.

Blimey. I think we've actually found a subject GO can't shoehorn in something about the jews.

Poor Eddie's current business model is centered around the success of their media trained and carefully protected Bruno MKII, matchroom put him in a stadium against a tin can and 90,000 automatons snap up the tickets in seconds, it's the Matchroom FC mongs I feel most sorry for.

What can Joshua learn in 12 months to beat Ruiz?
Perhaps if the rematch is forced to be in the UK; which Ruiz now being champ doesn't have to do, AJ can get his Therapeutic Use Exemptions back to help with the old conditioning problem that shown its head once again since the fight was in a different jurisdiction that wouldn't allow AJ his magic medicine for this one.

his dad seems a bit too involved, maybe he should stay at home if he ever fights abroad again. he has enough to worry about without the old man constantly clashing with the fuckhead, hearn jr

Just seen this on Facebook...

BREAKING:
Anthony Joshua 's father has publicly stated that Joshua suffered a panic attack in his dressing room before the fight, delaying his ring walk. His Father asked Eddie Hearn to call the fight off as Joshua didn't look well and his father felt something was wrong.

Eddie Hearn responded by saying "He will be fine when he get's in the ring"

This is the reason Anthony Joshua's father confronted Hearn in the ring after the fight and words were exchanged.

I've seen alot flying about regarding the confrontation between Eddie and AJs dad and the reason for it is this according to Anthony's father who has spoken to media.

Anthony Joshua was also knocked out in sparring by European champion kabayel who is 19 wins 0 losses days before he fought Ruiz and his father had wanted Hearn to cancel the fight in the days leading up to it but allegedly Hearn talked them in to taking the fight.

Your thoughts..🗣💬

That sums it up quite nicely.
Perhaps Joshua should get on the tacos and tortillas diet next time!

On top of that, the fat Mexican was better than most people in England thought he would be.

Everybody fell into the trap of thinking 'chiselled, strong Brit will wipe floor with lardy, fast food Mexican'.

But one was far savvier in the ring than the other, and the result showed it. That is boxing. Your weaknesses get exposed eventually.

Ruiz has weaknesses, too, of course. There's not a "great" heavyweight out there. They're all flawed and they're all going to lose fights to each other over the next few years.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz
FWIW, I don't think there's any great mystery or conspiracy behind Joshua's loss. He just got caught, got hurt and got bashed up.

His footwork is poor because he's not a "natural" boxer. He came into the sport very late, and has not done the same amount of ring work as the vast majority of boxers, so he has little ring craft. When he gets in trouble, his footwork is so poor he can't get himself out of it.

He got caught while he was on the attack, went down and never gave himself the opportunity to recover because he doesn't have that ring craft.

He needs to improve as a boxer - it's that simple. He's a formidably strong lad, but his movement is appalling, even for a heavyweight, and he walks in straight lines straight onto punches.

I like him as a person - he gives the sport a sense of decency. But he's a limited fighter.

Don Ravioli - complete and utter claptrap, mate.

I have no idea whether AJ is juicing, but that explanation about belly buttons provided to you is utter nonsense, on every level. It's laughable. Whoever told you that is either as thick as a plank, or was winding you up. Or both.

Heard that AJ got caught big time sparring a few days before... don't know whether that was anything to do with it or not??

My mate is a trainer down the peacock and said a couple of years ago that Joshua is on the juice. Said something along the lines of you can always tell by the belly button area. The stuff he uses changes that area and gives you a different almost small hernia like looking belly button.
